How it all started
The origin of the principles of Vedic Art is the great oral tradition of ancient India: the Vedanta.
In 1974, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi passed the names of the 17 age-old Vedic principles to Curt Källman, asking him to establish a holistic Art Method that would combine the ancient knowledge with the process of art creation, something which had never been done before.
Curt then worked with the principles for 14 years, making them the heart of Vedic Art.
The experience of these long years led Curt to develop interpretations and exercises which open a unique space, where inner potential and insightful joyful passion in real life can be realized.
In 1988, he was ready to give his first course. Since then, thousands of happy painters from Sweden and other countries have joined the courses, using the principles of Vedic Art as important steps towards the liberation of inner creativity.
After Curt's passing in 2010, his son, Johannes took over the international coordination of Vedic Art based in Öland (Sweden).
Today, trained teachers in many countries impart this exciting method of awakening creativity .
